On Jan. 16, ninety SMPS Boston members and other AEC Marketing professionals gathered together for the 2020 SMPS Holiday Party at Game On! in Fenway. Attendees mingled and networked over rounds of ping pong and other games throughout the venue, entered drawings for exciting raffle prizes donated by attending firms, hit up the batting cages, and celebrated the Holiday Clothing Drive Challenge results.
Since 2007, SMPS has proudly supported and partnered with the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation (BBBSF). Starting in 2017, SMPS Boston challenged its members at local firms to an industrywide clothing drive challenge. This year, 19 firms participated in the challenge and collected over 18,000 pounds of clothing for BBBSF! A new record!
We are pleased to recognize the following firms as our 2020 Clothing Drive contest winners:
- 1st Place: VHB with 5,000 pounds
- 2nd Place: Geocomp with 4,600 pounds
- 3rd Place: DPS with 4,000 pounds
We are so grateful to all of the firms who participated in this year’s challenge. Thanks to your support, SMPS Boston made a $1000 financial contribution to BBBSF. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Steve Beck, executive director of BBBSF, for all the amazing work he does in support of children in the New England community. We would also like to thank our Gold Event Sponsor, HMMH, and our Silver Event Sponsor, Acentech. And thank you to all who attended. We swung for the fences this year and it was home run thanks to you!
