Juan M. Pestana
Acton, MA – Geosyntec Consultants recently announced that Juan M. Pestana, Sc.D., P.E. has joined the firm’s Acton, Mass. office as a Senior Principal in their Geotechnical Engineering Practice. He joins the firm after more than 20 years as a Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley, known for his research in the areas of computational geomechanics and geotechnical earthquake engineering. He will be participating in existing projects and pursuing new projects requiring advanced numerical modelling and extensive knowledge of soil behavior. His background extends beyond traditional geotechnical engineering and includes participating in multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems for projects in the U.S. and worldwide.
