Kingsbury Receives Labor Guild Award for Management

CGA Award winners with Senator Elizabeth Warren

Boston – Glenn W. Kingsbury, executive manager of NECA Boston Chapter since 1997, was honored as the recipient of the Labor Guild’s Cushing-Gavin Award (CGA) for Management at the event’s 50th Anniversary Dinner at the Park Plaza Boston in December.

He was joined by fellow 2016 CGA Awardees at the event: Francis Boudrow, business manager of Int’l. Association of Heat & Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers Local 6, recipient of the CGA Labor Award; Susan F. Horwitz, Esq., Sandulli Grace, P.C. – Labor Attorney Award; and, Michael Feldson, Esq., Regional Solicitor, US Dept. of Labor – Fr. Edward F. Boyle, S.J. Award.

Kingsbury also served as Chairman of the New England Electrical Workers Health Benefit Fund for over 10 years, and is a trustee of the IBEW Local 103 Health Benefit Fund, six NECA/IBEW Pension Plans, and four Labor-Management Cooperation Funds throughout New England. He has negotiated more than 100 collective bargaining agreements with IBEW Locals in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine without a single work stoppage.  In October, he was inducted into NECA’s Academy of Electrical Contracting.

The 2016 CGA Management and Labor Co-chairmen are: CGA Management Co-chair – Andrew Dreyfus, CEO of Blue Cross, Blue Shield of MA and CGA Labor Co-Chair – Sean McGarvey, President of North America’s Building Trades Unions.
