John Hession
Boston – BSC Group recently welcomed John Hession, PE as the firm’s new Director of Land Development to support its New England clients.
Hession, registered professional engineer in Massachusetts and Washington, began his professional career with BSC as part of its South Shore practice and returns to BSC Group from a long and focused career in land development working with large national firms. Most recently he was Vice President of Site Civil Engineering with EBI Consulting and prior to that a Principal and Retail Practice Leader at VHB. In total, he has over 25 years of planning, design, permitting, client and team leadership experience in commercial real estate development.
Hession thrives on the many challenges and complications of commercial real estate development and strives to understand the challenges from the client’s perspective. His focus is the strategy, design and permitting of land development projects. He has successfully led all disciplines on commercial, residential and mixed-use projects, with his greatest focus on retail projects throughout New England.
Reporting to BSC President David Hayes, Hession will work closely with BSC Group’s multidisciplinary teams providing a full range of site services. “His vast understanding of the market and complex projects is what we’re looking for to enhance our expertise in delivering client-focused solutions. John has an impressive background and strong passion in land development which is one of BSC’s top market sectors. John’s experience with complex projects is just what we’re looking for to strengthen the services we provide our clients.” said Hayes.
