Boston – CBI Consulting Inc. recently announced today that they  have promoted two members of their team to the position of Associates.

 

Steven Watchorn of Rockland, MA, has been named to the position of Associate in the Field of Architecture; and Keith Bouchard of Salem, NH, has been named Associate in the Field of Structural Engineering.

 

Architect & Senior Project Manager Steven Watchorn, A.I.A., served as Architect & Senior Project Manager prior to his promotion. He joined the company in 2009 and has expertise in planning and construction, along with a passion for historic preservation and adaptive reuse.  His skills have revived many historic buildings such as Barnstable’s Historic Coast Guard Heritage Museum, Springfield’s Historic Forest Park Library, Historic Brook School Apartments in Weston, Historic Lowell City Hall, and the Historic Chatham Railroad Museum.  He is currently working on various renovation projects for public schools in New Bedford and Stoughton.  Steven is a LEED accredited professional and applies sustainable solutions to every project in order to maximize resources, save energy, and increase the comfort of the building users. He serves as Chairperson of the Rockland Historical Commission in his hometown.

Keith Bouchard, P.E., joined CBI’s Engineering Division a dozen years ago as an intern and never veered off path to the position as a Senior Structural Engineer. Bouchard is well versed in the design of a variety of materials from structural steel to structural glass, and in the current building and materials codes.  His detail-oriented approach leads to the creation of clear, concise drawings and reports that exceed Client’s needs while addressing repairs, reuse, and new construction.  Bouchard excels at providing practical solutions for unique structural problems.  Notable projects include rebuilding Historic Hancock School Condominiums in Lexington and Esteves Hall structural repairs at Harvard Business School.  He also provided the structural design for a new GHESKIO Tuberculosis Hospital in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the original which was devastated in the 2010 earthquake.  He is currently designing the $10m restoration of the Pearl-Elm Municipal Parking Facility in Worcester.
