Bar Harbor, ME – Bar Harbor has seen many recent hospitality property upgrades in the past several years. Latest is the new 103-room seasonal Hampton Inn, located on a secluded hilltop overlooking Frenchman’s Bay and the mountains of Acadia National Park.
Owned by W.S. Atlantic, the inn is the only seasonal Hampton Inn in the United States. The project contractor was Opechee Construction Corporation.

When the owners wanted to create an atmosphere that harmonized with Bar Harbor’s unique coastal charm, they hired the interior design team at WBRC Architects · Engineers to help create a regionally appropriate lobby, dining area, hallways, and rooms. While the furnishings were from Hampton Inn’s catalog of brand-approved options, the team worked to get approval for custom cottage style flooring, finishes, wood work, wallcovering, upholstery, and window treatments.
The result is a relaxing, modern property that resonates with Bar Harbor’s historic brand.
