Providence, RI – The BIG EAST Conference has selected Vision 3 Architects of Providence, Rhode Island to design their new headquarters in the Gateway Center building, previously known as the American Express Building, situated between the Amtrak train station and the Blue Cross building in Providence. Founded in Providence in 1979, the BIG EAST Conference is comprised of 16 colleges and universities.
Construction of the new BIG EAST facility is expected to begin this summer. Vision 3 Architects will provide architectural and interior design services for the project that involves renovations to the third floor of the Gateway Center.
The new office space will be designed to reflect the image of the BIG EAST, a conference known for its high level of competition, sportsmanship and academic integrity. The design will provide a grand reception area and private offices encompassing each of the seven departments.
