Boston – Integrated Design Group announced that Dennis Julian, PE, ATD, DCEP and Jack McCarthy, PE, DCEP are Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) Program certificate holders. They are among fewer than 200 professionals in the United States to complete the program, which was developed by the Department of Energy, and qualifies them to perform energy assessments in data centers.
Throughout their training, Julian and McCarthy worked closely with industry stakeholders to acquire the latest knowledge and skills required to perform accurate assessments. As qualified Data Center Energy Practitioners, they offer clients a unique set of skills, including:
· Qualification to identify and evaluate energy efficiency opportunities in data centers
· Proficiency in the use of the DOE’s DC Pro software tool suite
· Ability to address energy opportunities in electrical systems, air management, HVAC, IT equipment and on-site generation
· Ongoing training in conducting data center assessments
· Ability to pass an exam and be re-qualified every three years
