Woburn, MA – Tocci Building Companies has begun its 9th decade in business by hiring four new team members: Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Modelers Ashwin Ramesh and Val Tzvetkov, Assistant Project Manager Adam Reynolds, and Client Services Associate Maria Pelaggi.
Tocci is an internationally recognized leader in employing VDC and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create more efficient and sustainable buildings in less time and with significant cost savings; the addition of VDC Modelers Ramesh and Tzvetkov will build upon that strength.
VDC Manager Pierce Reynoldson describes new VDC Modeler Ramesh as a critical thinker. “Ashwin brings a fresh analytic approach and new level of scrutiny to our everyday processes.”
Ramesh comes to Tocci from Pennsylvania State University’s College of Engineering Graduate School, where he concentrated on BIM and Facilities Management. Ramesh was a contributing author for the Penn State BIM Planning Guide for Facility Owners, a widely respected BIM reference guide for owners across the AECO industry.
“Over the years, I’ve had a chance to meet Tocci employees and was always impressed with the dedication to process transformation,” said Ramesh. “It’s a great opportunity to contribute to Tocci’s robust VDC processes.”
Tzvetkov comes to Tocci from Chappell Engineering Associates, LLC, where he distinguished himself through his creativity and skill in constructing 3D digital mockups and project visualizations. A native of Sofia, Bulgaria, Tzvetkov earned his M.A. and B.S. in Architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Tocci selected Adam Reynolds as its newest Assistant Project Manager for his experience managing complex project budgets, schedules, and owner/client/subcontractor relationships. “I chose to pursue a career with Tocci for the opportunity to be a part of something meaningful,” said Reynolds. “Tocci will provide me the opportunities to learn and grow in the industry while working on projects that challenge the status quo.”
Tocci’s new Client Services Associate, Maria Pelaggi, will be in charge of growing and developing Tocci’s multifamily, hospitality, and assisted living sectors. Pelaggi was previously a Boston Business Manager at Bisnow Media, where she planned and executed multiple real estate summits that connected over 250 real estate executives at a time.
Team members tend to remain with Tocci for a long time due to its commitment to empowering its employees to continuously broaden their horizons and improve their skills; several Tocci employees recently celebrated 20th, 15th, and 10th anniversaries with the company.
“We haven’t continued to succeed for 90 years by resting on our laurels,” said CEO John Tocci. “Our company is defined by its people, and continually hiring the best talent is the single most important investment we can make in our future.”
