Canton, MA-Timberline Construction Corporation (TCC), the General Contractor based in Canton, Massachusetts, recently completed the new 80,000 square foot four-story Homewood Suites Hotel project located South of Boston.
Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC is the developer and manager with a hospitality portfolio of about 40 properties within the Northeast and Florida. Homewood Suites is a Hilton Worldwide brand extended stay hotel, a concept for business and leisure travelers that offers the comforts of a high-end home where every room is a suite. In the last 23 years, 300 Homewood Suite hotels have been opened, of which Buffalo Lodging has opened seven.
Archetype Architects of Portland, Maine is responsible for this hotel’s sophisticated design, which sports high-hotquality details and finishes with contemporary style. The exterior promotes a welcoming residential feel with gable roof, hardy plank siding, brick accents and front entry framed by columns. Interior architecture includes: a grand lobby with open floor plan, a water feature, artistic metal accent walls, upscale millwork finishes, a fitness room with view out to the pool, and tray ceilings above the pool area accentuated with colored lights on rotation.
Timberline Construction not only managed the ground-up construction of the 98-unit hotel withbits many features and amenities, but also self-preformed select trades. This capability is one that sets TCC apart from much of their General Contracting competition. The units include studio, one- and two- bedroom units; six suites were built to be easily handicap accessible spatially, as well as specifically in the kitchen and bathroom areas.
Every suite has a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, in addition to sleeping, dining/workspace, and living areas. On-site building features and amenities include a fully-equipped fitness center, indoor pool with hot tub, 24-hour executive business center, a board meeting room, central self-serve laundry room, common lounge, a 24-hour pantry called the “Suite Shop”, and free parking.
The hotel is the first in Canton, MA and one of the few located between Boston, Gillette Stadium, Legacy Place, and the Comcast Center; while also being less than an hour from Providence, RI and Cape Cod Massachusetts. Homewood Suites of Canton focuses on providing strong customer service and further provides guests with: daily complimentary hot
breakfast in what they call “the Lodge”, a full evening meal with drinks is available Monday through Thursday evenings, multi-lingual staff, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
