Mansfield, Ma – RDK Engineers (RDK) attended an open house on September 20, 2012 in Mansfield, MA, celebrating the completion of a 300 kW roof mounted solar array for Miller Recycling Corporation.
RDK provided electrical engineering services on the project that included interconnection design and
subsequent documentation required to support the installation of the 1,200 panels. The design incorporated combiner boxes, inverters, and interconnection to the grid. The system will be utilized by the facility to offset 90% of its own traditional energy needs.
RDK worked in conjunction with Energy Systems & Installation (ESI), who served as the project management
firm providing overall design and installation services on the project. The Miller Recycling solar array project
marks the third project that the two firms have completed together, while another five are currently
underway.
RDK Principal, Bob Persechini who was on hand at the event stated, “My team and I are extremely proud of
what we were able to accomplish with ESI on the Miller Recycling solar array project. Knowing that we are
helping companies to dramatically reduce their carbon footprint is very rewarding indeed”.
