If you’re a contractor in Massachusetts (or know one), this is an important announcement:
“Under a combined grant from the Mass Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (US DOE), Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) and the Low-income Energy Affordability Network (LEAN) has funding to complete a number of solar thermal projects at low-income multifamily and non-profit service facilities throughout the state of Massachusetts. Starting in April, the ABCD/LEAN team will solicit bids from Contractors for the installation of a complete solar thermal system. It is expected that 2-3 projects will be bid out each month until the total grant funding of $3.5 million has been spent. On average, the installed cost for each project is expected to be in the range of $100,000 to $200,000.”
