Marc Gabriel, RA, NCARB, LEED BD+C (Project Architect)

Marc brings over 16 years of experience to SG&A in his role as Project Architect. He has a strong track record of achievement in managing complex architectural and construction projects – especially for laboratory, pharmaceutical and R+D clients – from inception to completion ensuring project continuity and integrity while maintaining a collaborative team environment through client/contractor interactions. While working for other design firms, he participated on such projects as the Aileron Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA; the Weld Hill Research Building at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, MA; Science Building Addition at the University of Michigan-Dearborn; and Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, MA. He also has experience designing hotels and other hospitality related projects including Renaissance Hotel and The Seaport Hotel, both in Boston, MA. Marc graduated with distinction from the School of Architecture at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Masters of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

Miguel Linera (Project Manager)

Miguel also returns to SG&A as a Project Manager after managing his own design business for several years. As a Project Manager, Miguel is responsible for managing the details and coordination issues for each project assignment from schematic design through construction document production and construction administration. He keeps each project design team on track to meet project milestones and deadlines. Additionally, Miguel works with the production designers as well as assigned QA/QC “red line” teams in reviewing documents providing a measure of quality control for each project. Miguel has designed and managed commercial housing, corporate interiors, and healthcare projects. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College in Boston, MA.

Matthew McCreary, LEED AP (Project Designer)

Matthew returns to SG&A as a Project Designer in the architecture department after working at design firms in Chicago and Milwaukee. He has worked on commissions for multi-family residential developers, hotels, mixed use developments, hospitals, colleges and universities, and schools providing sustainable solutions as well as historic preservation and reuse advice. Matthew was a design team member on GTech Center in Providence, RI, Arborpoint at Woodland Station in Newton, MA and Reservoir Woods in Waltham, MA. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University School of Architecture.

Brendan Powers, LEED AP BD+C (Production Manager)

Brendan has worked as both a project manager and architectural designer prior to joining SG&A as a Production Manager. Working in the interiors studio, Brendan’s responsibilities include collaboration with clients, consultants, cost estimators, and building officials; code review; specification writing and review; as well as assigned QA/QC “red line” document reviews providing a measure of quality control for each project. He has a Masters of Architecture from Washington University’s School of Architecture in St. Louis, MO. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tufts University in Medford, MA.

Inga Bystryak, LEED AP ID+C (Interior Designer)

Inga has worked as both an interior designer and architectural lighting design consultant prior to joining SG&A as an Interior Designer. Inga’s clients include higher educational institutions, corporations, biotech firms, and healthcare organizations. She is technologically proficient using Revit, AutoCad, Vectorworks, Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, AGI32 and Visual to develop creative and practical design solutions for her clients. She has a BFA in Interior Design from the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University. Inga is also working toward her MBA at Northeastern University’s Business School and expects to graduate in 2013. She is fluent in both Russian and Hebrew.

Gabriella Gatto, LEED AP, IIDA, NCIDQ (Interior Designer)

Before joining SG&A, Gabriella worked not only as an Interior Designer but also as a LEED Project Engineer organizing and preparing documentation to submit multiple projects for USGBC LEED certification. She has worked with her clients as well as architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure all LEED related design and construction requirements were implemented and cost effective decisions were made for specific project assignments. Gabriella received a BS in Interior Design with a concentration in Architecture from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.

Jessie Abbott (Interior Designer)

Jessie joins the Interior Design Studio at SG&A after working as a junior designer and project assistant at other firms. She received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology. As a student leader, she was the captain of the WIT Women’s Basketball Team, IIDA Student Member and member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Society.

Marc, Miguel, Matthew, Brendan, Inga, Gabriella and Jessie bring complimentary and compatible skills to our design practice. Their creativity and project experience supports SG&A’s client- centric mission and continues to advance our considerable technological capabilities.
