New Haven, CT- SCUP’s North Atlantic One-Day Symposium will be held October 4 at the Gateway Community College in New Haven, Conn.
“Dorsey L. Kendrick, president of Gateway Community College will be hosting a one-day symposium for members and other planners in the North Atlantic region. The title of the conference is, ‘LEEDing the Way to Change’ and will focus on the transformation of a former department store in the heart of New Haven into a state-of-the-art community college. The project was completed in 2012 and became the first public college campus in Connecticut to achieve a LEED Gold certification
Gateway Community College (GCC) became one of Connecticut’s largest green projects.
Share behind the scenes pros and cons and lessons learned on how they took their vision and turned it into reality by developing an effective and unprecedented collaboration among the Connecticut higher education administration, the New Haven legislators, city of New Haven officials, state elected officials, and Yale University to provide a high-quality educational experience for all students in the New Haven region.
