Hartford, Conn – Gregory R. Faulkner and Martin A. Onorato, partners of Robinson & Cole LLP’s Construction Practice Group, were contributing authors to Connecticut Construction Guidelines: The Manual for Successful Building Projects, 2nd Edition, published by the Connecticut Construction Guidelines Coalition. Attorney Faulkner authored the “Requests for Information” guideline and edited numerous other guidelines. Attorney Onorato authored the “Retainage” guideline and also edited other guidelines.
The Connecticut Construction Guidelines Coalition is composed of organizations representing professions and trades dedicated to the design and construction process. Connecticut Construction Guidelines provides concise, unbiased information on the design and construction process, which is particularly helpful to those new to the construction process.
Attorney Faulkner is a past president of one of the primary contributing organizations, the Connecticut Building Congress. He has served as local, national, and international counsel in all aspects of construction law. Serving as chair of the firm’s Education Practice Group, Mr. Faulkner has an active higher education practice, representing the interests of colleges and universities and other institutions of learning with regard to their unique building and facilities program needs. He delivers a full-service approach to his practice, including selection of project delivery, contract drafting and negotiations, litigation in federal and state courts, and arbitration and mediation of all types of disputes. He also represents the interests of creditors within and outside bankruptcy proceedings.
Attorney Onorato is the current president of the Connecticut Building Congress. He represents owners, design professionals, construction managers, general contractors, trade contractors, and other construction industry clients. He counsels clients on construction contracts and disputes in a wide array of public and private settings, including hospitals, research facilities, energy generation, universities, schools, high-rise construction, casinos, luxury resorts, bridges, and industrial facilities. With education and experience in both architecture and law, Mr. Onorato brings a unique perspective and practical understanding to the construction industry clients he advises, and he frequently delivers seminars and presentations about construction law.
