Boston – RDK Engineers celebrated the grand opening of HI-Boston, a $42 million adaptive reuse of the 62,000sf Dill Building, resulting in a new hostel between the theater district and Chinatown.
RDK provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security and telecommunications engineering design services for the Hostelling International Boston Hostel, which houses 480-beds at 19 Stuart Street. The newly renovated space includes a game room, a library, a full guest kitchen, and four floors of guest rooms designed to LEED Certification standard.
RDK worked in conjunction with Bergmeyer Associates as the Architect and Suffolk Construction as the Construction Manager on HI-Boston
