Manchester, NH – Pro Con Inc completed the new 8,132sf Gateway Building on the campus of The Derryfield School in Manchester in advance of the students returning to classes in September.
Lavallee Brensinger Architects was the project architect and Pro Con Inc. was the construction manager for the $1.2 million project, that was funded in part through a grant from New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority.
The Gateway Building was designed and constructed using energy efficient specifications to reduce energy consumption. The building’s green features include a TPO roof, high R value insulation and Energy Star appliances.
The two-level building has two classroom/seminar spaces, offices for Breakthrough Manchester at The Derryfield School, administrative support space for the school’s community service and global education programs, and improved admission, business office and advancement spaces. New paved pathways connect the Gateway Building to the other campus facilities and new rock retaining walls complement the landscaping.
The Derryfield School is an independent, co-educational and nonsectarian school serving 380 students in grades 6-12
