Portsmouth, New Hampshire – Recently, R. Eric Pease, Ph.D., P.E. joined Tighe & Bond, Inc. as a senior engineer who will work primarily out of the firm’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire office. He brings 16 years of professional experience in geotechnical design, soil mechanics, and unsaturated water flow that will benefit the firm’s New Hampshire clients. His expertise further rounds out Tighe & Bond’s comprehensive array of services offered from its Portsmouth office.
Pease has worked for public and private clients, the federal government, and academia. His design experience includes landfill covers, foundations, pavements, dams, levees, drainage, erosion protection, mining remediation, petroleum remediation, and water supply. He has extensive experience using numerical models to analyze saturated and unsaturated water flow and soil behavior. He has lectured full-time for the Civil Engineering Department at the University of New Hampshire, and is licensed as a professional engineer in twelve states.
A New Hampshire resident, Pease earned his doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.), master of science (M.S.) and bachelor of science (B.S.) degrees in civil engineering from the University of New Mexico (UNM). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
