Needham, Ma – NAIOP, the state’s leading organization for developers, owners and related professionals, is pleased to announce that National Development has been selected to receive the NAIOP Massachusetts 2011 Distinguished Real Estate Award for achievements in real estate, charitable activities and community betterment. The award will be presented at NAIOP’s Annual Award Gala on Tuesday November 8 at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston, with a special tribute by HFF, the evening’s platinum sponsor.

Founded by Tom Alperin, Jack O’Neil, and Ted Tye, National Development has been responsible for the development of 20 million square feet of office, residential and retail space in forty area communities over the past 25 years. Joined by partners Steve Kinsella and Ed Marsteiner, along with 130 team members, the company’s capabilities include development, construction, asset management and acquisition. The firm is also a major sponsor of Charles River Realty Investors, LLC, a real estate investment fund headed by Brian Kavoogian.

Headquartered in Newton Falls, MA, National Development has been involved with many prominent projects in Greater Boston and the surrounding area.
