Boston, MA – A groundbreaking celebration was recently held for the new Mattapan Community Health Center (MCHC) in Mattapan Square.
More than 300 people joined Dr. Azzie Young, President and CEO of Mattapan Community Health Center – (third from the left in the photo); Governor Deval Patrick and members of his Cabinet; and Boston City Councillor Charles Yancey as they joined parade revelers at the groundbreaking site.
Kate Walsh of Boston Medical Center, Congressman Mike Capuano, Mayor Thomas Menino along with other elected officials, and many friends of MCHC participated in the Groundbreaking
The new 50,000sf space is expected to be completed in late 2011
