Masci Joins Haley & Aldrich as a Lean Practitioner and VP

Boston- Environmental and engineering firm Haley & Aldrich today announced that Nick Masci has joined the firm as a Lean Practitioner and Vice President, effective immediately. Masci will support the firm’s growing Lean Consulting Services practice, and in this role, he will work with clients within the built environment to increase their performance and generate enduring results by reducing waste in time, money and effort.

Masci will support the firm’s growing Lean Consulting Services practice, and in this role, he will work with clients within the built environment to increase their performance and generate enduring results by reducing waste in time, money and effort.

With more than 15 years of experience, Masci joins Haley & Aldrich from a design-build construction firm, where he was a senior executive focused on healthcare and manufacturing clients. Masci brings deep experience in applying Lean in many ways, from design and construction to Lean training and development. At Haley & Aldrich, Masci’s primary focus will be on providing Lean facilitation and consulting services, including the development of standard service offerings to support clients’ efforts as they seek to improve the way they build, operate and manage their real estate assets.

Masci is Lean certified by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), a resource for Continuous Improvement education and facilitation. Masci is a LEED Accredited Professional whose numerous professional affiliations include the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), New England Society for Healthcare Strategy (NESHS), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MassEcon), the Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership (GBMP), and the New England Healthcare Engineers Society (NEHES). He is a frequent speaker on Lean and healthcare-related topics, and is an instructor for design-build delivery at Wentworth Institute of Technology.

With a bachelor of science in Intensive Science Studies from the Villanova University, Masci is also a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Center for Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate Development program. Nick was originally introduced to continuous improvement principles during two Mediterranean deployments with the US Navy, where he received numerous awards for his superior military service.
