The Marr Companies recently announced that Paula M. Wiles was recently promoted to Vice President of Human Resources.
Ms. Wiles started with The Marr Companies in 2001 as the Executive Assistant to Marr’s Corporate Administration and Safety Departments. In 2004 she became Human Resources Manager responsible for the administration of employee benefits including health insurance, personnel recruitment and staffing management, the implementation of personnel policies and procedures and compliance with insurance programs such as Workers’ Compensation.
During the past few years, the administrative functions of the Marr Safety Program, such as safety compliance, training and record keeping, have been firmly established under Paula’s management. She has assisted in the development of safety performance measurement objectives on a company-wide basis and has helped to maintain and further strengthen Marr’s significant safety culture with the creation of safety targets and awards programs. Paula will continue to report to Daniel F. Marr, III, President and COO of Marr Scaffolding Company.
Before joining Marr, Ms. Wiles worked for two years as a Paralegal for Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc. and for the year prior to that, she was a Contracts/Safety Specialist for Fluor Daniel GTI. From 1991 to 1997, Paula was a Human Resources Generalist/Medical Surveillance Coordinator with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc.
Ms. Wiles is a 1981 graduate of Weymouth South High School, Weymouth, MA. She is currently engaged in local and national industry organizations including the National Association of Women in Construction, the Associated Subcontractors of MA, the Northeast Human Resources Association and the Construction Industry Roundtable.
