Mark Monroe Joins Integrated Design Group as Chief Technology Advisor

Boston – Integrated Design Group, an architectural, engineering and planning firm focused on the design of data centers recently announced today that Mark Monroe will join the firm as chief technology advisor. An expert in corporate sustainability, data center efficiency, and multiple aspects of information technology (IT), Mr. Monroe will help Integrated Design Group maintain technological leadership in the design of data centers. Through this relationship, he will enhance the firm’s ability to work with clients to provide innovative designs with creative project solutions. In addition to his work with Integrated Design Group, Mr. Monroe will continue his duties as executive director of the data center industry non-profit consortium, The Green Grid.

With more than 28 years of experience in the IT industry, Mr. Monroe specializes in sustainability and energy efficiency during the design and operation phases of technology-related projects. Mr. Monroe will be charged with advising Integrated Design Group on their technology practice and ensuring cross-practice standardization.

Mr. Monroe is currently on the board of directors for the Center for ReSource Conservation, and the sustainability advisory boards for the University of Colorado and local Colorado governments. His IT background includes experience in data center design and operations, application and system design, service level management, process design and analysis, professional services, sales, government and commercial program management, and outsourcing management. In addition, he is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt. Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of errors and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. A black belt and master black belt are the highest achievable levels through this certification vehicle.
