Foxborough, MA – Maguire Group recently announced that it continues to expand its regional
offerings with its Emergency Management (EM) Services, now available throughout the Northeast
and Mid-Atlantic.

When disaster strikes, it’s best to be prepared. Maguire’s enhanced services help cities and
towns plan, prepare, respond and recover from man-made and natural disasters. Offerings
include mitigation and preparedness services, modeling services that help test “what if” scenarios,
response and recovery services, debris management, and situational awareness and readiness.

As part of its strategy to improve its EM Services in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, Maguire has
brought additional expertise on board. Most recently, the firm hired Ms. Amy Grzybowski, former
Grant and Planning Manager for the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA),
where she was responsible for over $50 million in federal funding and for providing oversight and
guidance on the development, revision and coordination of all agency emergency response plans.
Maguire also recently hired Mr. Kirby McCrary, P.E., a former FEMA Public Assistance Specialist
and Florida Department of Transportation Operations Manager.

“Maguire Group is already using Amy’s extensive experience to improve our team’s understanding
of agencies and structures in the Northeast, with the goal of delivering even more robust
capabilities to our clients,” reports Jared George, Maguire EM Services Director and Regional
Practice Manager. “Their experience is an asset to the current projects Maguire has underway
in this region and to communities who want to prepare for the upcoming hurricane season.
Other firms offer assistance in filling out forms, but Maguire has really been successful in helping
clients maximize total reimbursement from agencies like FEMA, the FHWA, Departments of
Transportation, and other agencies involved when disaster is declared.” He adds, “Our team’s
experience includes over $1 billion in reimbursements for state and local governments – and the
cost of using Maguire is typically 75 percent or more covered by agency reimbursement, so it’s a
win-win.”

These professionals join Maguire’s other EMS staff who have years of hands-on experience
in directing or supporting state and local government agencies to plan for and recover from
disasters. This group has been helping several communities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts
following the spring 2010 floods and in preparing their mitigation or emergency response plans.
