Boston – The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of its 2012 Small Business of the Year Awards. This year’s awards will honor the ‘Top 10’ small, high-growth businesses in the Greater Boston region, with Meridian Associates, a multi-disciplinary land development and infrastructure consulting firm, recognized as the ‘Small Business of the Year.’
Now in its 28th year, the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Awards recognize the achievements of Greater Boston’s smaller for-profit companies with gross revenues of more than $1 million who display strong financial performance, achievement in management, workplace excellence, product innovation, and community or social responsibility.

Meridian Associates is a consulting firm that offers civil engineering, 3D laser scanning and survey, landscape architecture, and renewable energy and sustainability consulting services. These services encompass the complete land development and infrastructure consulting process from initial programming studies, feasibility analysis, technical due-diligence; land planning, site and infrastructure design, permitting, and construction layout to final compliance certification. The firm has provided services to projects all over the world, and is currently focused on growing its 3D laser scanning and renewable energy services. Meridian is also committed to giving back to the community, and in 2011, the firm donated more than $30,000 to various charities. Founded in 1990, Meridian is headquartered in Beverly, MA, with offices in Westborough, MA as well as four other states.
