KBE Donates to Local Food Pantries

Farmington, CT – KBE Building Corporation raised nearly $1800 in support of the fight against hunger

Farmington, CT – KBE Building Corporation raised nearly $1800 in support of the fight against hunger in the state of Connecticut through its new ‘Jeans’ Friday’ initiative — a new wrinkle to KBE’s 50 Ways to Make a Difference Campaign Since January, KBE associates contributed $888 for the privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays.
That amount combined with a match from the firm’s senior management team brought the total donated amount to $1,776. Each of the benefiting organizations received the amount collected on its behalf during a particular month.
“We are very appreciative to KBE for helping Hockanum Valley in these tough economic times and are extremely grateful for all we are given,” said David Engleston, CEO Hockanum Valley Community Council.
Through 50 Ways, KBE works with local community organizations to help make a difference in their communities. This year, KBE is focused on helping to fight hunger and supporting programs that benefit seniors.
