KBE Breaks Ground for Two Schools

Farmington, CT – KBE Building Corporation has broken ground for the renovations and additions for two Danielson schools: Harvard Ellis Technical High School and Quinebaug Valley Middle College High School.

Farmington, CT – KBE Building Corporation has broken ground for the renovations and additions for two Danielson schools: Harvard Ellis Technical High School and Quinebaug Valley Middle College High School.
The $84 million Harvard Ellis project will consist of a 117,300sf renovation and a 68,000sf addition, which will house a new gymnasium, classroom wing, media center, a community café, and teaching kitchens for the culinary arts program. The first phase will include a maintenance and bus garage, as well as upgrades to the athletic fields.
The $22 million Quinebaug Valley project will consist of a 12,000sf renovation to the existing cafeteria and library and a 38,000sf addition.
The addition will create space for six new classrooms, a half gym, an art room, a special education room, two science labs, a fitness room, a music and two practice rooms, a health suite, two collaborative activities rooms, student gathering spaces, and administrative and faculty offices. Over time, the Middle College plans to expand its student body from 105 students to 250 students.
The groundbreaking ceremony for both projects took place in June.
