Chestnut Hill, MA – Kaplan Construction of Boston has been selected to build two new additions for Miltons The Store for Men in Chestnut Hill. It is the second time in 15 years that the two companies have collaborated on a major construction project at this location.
Kaplan will begin a major renovation to the Miltons flagship store this summer. The work includes exterior improvements on all elevations including a new two-story, steel frame and glass façade entrance, added display windows, and new tile and EIFS finishes. The new entrance design will enhance the store’s connection to the adjacent Chestnut Hill Square project.
A second, two-story addition will also be constructed to house new fitting rooms and a lounge area, as well as stock and display space. Also included in the project are select back-of-house renovations and updated finishes to the more than 10,000sf sales floor. Architectural design is being provided by Arrowstreet Inc. with Kaplan responsible for the design/build engineering of the mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
With construction slated for completion in timefor Thanksgiving, Kaplan will be working on an accelerated, phased work schedule this summer and fall.
Miltons will remain open during the construction.
