Boston – Kaplan Construction, announced that Sean Lepore has joined the firm as a superintendent. He brings more than a decade of construction experience and special expertise in virtual, multi-dimensional coordination through Building Information Modeling (BIM).
In addition to overseeing the daily activities of Kaplan job sites, Lepore will play an integral role in the early planning and design stages of projects. With his knowledge of the modeling programs Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks, he has led mechanical coordination efforts on many complex projects.
He previously was a superintendent with Turner Construction, where he spearheaded mechanical coordination efforts for the ground-up construction of a 43,000sf museum for the Rhode Island School of Design; the construction of both a mechanical penthouse and gallery space for the Peabody Essex Museum; and the Allston expansion project for Harvard University. He is also well-versed in analyzing site logistics for postage stamp-size sites and the impact to their surroundings. His list of previous high-profile work also includes the interior fitout of the Microsoft office at One Cambridge Center in Cambridge.
