Weston, MA – J. Calnan & Associates, Inc. (JC&A) recently completed the corporate headquarters for Biogen IDEC located at The Weston Corporate Center.
JC&A completed the fast-track 100,000sf corporate headquarters in just 14 weeks.
Highlights include new executive offices with high-end finishes, open office areas and
work stations as well as three cutting-edge telepresence and video conference rooms.
Equipped with the Apple iPad, the JC&A team was able to use this emerging technology to communicate project information, send meeting minutes, access real time data, review plans and coordinate the punchlist. This allowed for great collaboration amongst the entire team and expedited the decision making process to ultimately keep the project on schedule.
The project team included Boston Properties, landlord; Vanderweil Engineers, mechanical, electrical plumbing and fire protection engineering; Nelson, architecture; and Office Environments, audio-visual and furniture.
