Boston — Integrated Design Group (ID) has promoted four people within the firm to associate and senior associate level positions. The promotions also include the appointment of a new architectural group leader.
“Integrated Design Group is proud to recognize four dedicated employees who have been instrumental in our growth,” said Robert Stein, AIA, LEED AP. “These individuals have shown great leadership, perspective and commitment to client service that has helped build our firm into one that is at the forefront of data center design.”
Chad Fowler, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted from associate and project manager to senior associate and architectural group leader. An original member of the ID team, Chad has a 16-year history with the firm’s founding partners, having worked together at a previous design firm and then joining ID the day the business incorporated. Chad has been instrumental in design and management of Building G on the Digital Realty (DLR) Campus in Loudon, Virginia. This project entails 22 data centers totaling 415,000 SF within Building G, ID’s largest project with DLR to date. Currently the first building under construction, ID will work on the design for an additional three buildings on the Loudoun campus.
Jeanne Karpel, who has been an employee of ID since it was established in 2003, was promoted to senior associate. Directing all human resources operations, Jeanne has helped grow the staff from 7 to 65 people, an 828% increase over the past 10 years. In addition to her contributions in recruitment, Jeanne also works closely with the firm’s principals to ensure that all aspects of business operations are managed effectively.
ID’s newest associate is John T. Moran, LEED AP. A member of the project management team since 2010, John oversees all projects with key client Fidelity Investments. This past year, John collaborated with Fidelity on their Tier IV data center in Omaha, NE, which will include the next generation Centercore, an innovative off-site constructed data center. John was recently joined by Joe Higgins, vice president at Fidelity Investments, to present Centercore at ID’s fourth annual 21st Century Data Center Symposium in Dallas.
Peter Norris, AIA, LEED AP, was promoted to senior associate. A member of ID’s architecture group since 2006, Peter has more than 15 years of experience as a designer and project architect. He has been instrumental on data center projects that ID has designed for Digital Realty, Fidelity Investments and Harvard University. On behalf of the firm, Peter has spoken on a variety of topics impacting the data center industry, including drivers for growth, the future of data centers, the need for flexible and scalable design, and energy efficiency.
