Hamden, CT – Hoffmann Architects, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, recently announced the promotion of two members of the technical staff.

Hamden, CT – Hoffmann Architects, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, recently announced the promotion of two members of the technical staff.

Courtenay Bauer has been promoted from Project Coordinator to Project Manager. Since joining Hoffmann Architects in 2012, she has demonstrated proficiency and sound judgment in the evaluation and rehabilitation of building envelope systems. Her contributions to projects at the firm’s Arlington VA office have proved insightful, as she applies her experience to surveys and contract documents, construction cost estimates, and construction administration. As project manager, Bauer will take a lead role in directing projects and communicating with clients. A graduate of the Catholic University of America, Bauer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture, as well as a Master of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY. She lives in Washington DC.

William Hayes, Assoc. AIA was recognized for his contributions to Hoffmann Architects’ New York City office with a promotion from Project Coordinator to Project Manager. Hayes’ attention to detail and his dedication to the firm have earned accolades from his supervisors and clients alike. As project manager, he will take on greater responsibility, overseeing building envelope projects from investigation through design and construction. He will also be responsible for preparing evaluations of building envelope systems, including defect surveys and third party peer review.
Educated at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in architecture, as well as a Master of Architecture degree. He lives in New York City.
