What calls a hero to action?
Is it need? No, it is not simply need.
Is it duty? No, it is not simply duty.
Is it courage? No, it is not simply courage.
Is it honor? No, it is not simply honor.
Is it service? No, it is not simply service.
It is not one of these valiant things,
That we rightfully treasure,
And respect with good cause,
But their root from which grows the values we cherish.
It is hope.
Simply hope,
That quiet and invisible force,
Their core belief that manifests valiant virtue.
It begins and ends each brave day with conviction.
