Portland, ME and Norwood, MA – GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., a leading geotechnical and environmental consulting firm, has named Robyn Saunders to the position of Senior Project Manager. Saunders has been a member of GZA GeoEnvironmental’s Portland professional practice group for the past 12 years. Saunders is a graduate of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maine in Orono. She manages an array of environmental projects, ranging from groundwater remediation to air emissions evaluations. Her areas of specialization include regulatory compliance and stormwater management. Saunders was recently named co-chair of GZA’s Stormwater Technical Team that is charged with identifying emerging stormwater regulations and issues on the local, State and Federal levels, as well as developing comprehensive, creative and cost-effective compliance strategies for new and existing clients.
Saunders has been instrumental in numerous projects for the Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA). Through Saunders’ efforts, GZA and MTA were both named among the co-recipients of an Environmental Merit Award from the New England Office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as part of the Long Creek Restoration Project Team that was recognized in 2009 “for exceptional work and commitment to the environment.”
