Glastonbury, Conn – GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., an environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, recently announced that Wayne Cobleigh of Simsbury, Connecticut has been promoted to Associate Principal, operating from the company’s Glastonbury office.
Cobleigh, a Senior Business Development Manager, joined GZA in 2001. His areas of specialization include energy facility siting and permitting, nuclear power plant engineering support services, sustainable development and flood hazard assessment and mitigation.
Cobleigh graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with an Environmental Science Concentration, received his MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix and maintains a Certified Professional Services Marketer designation from the Society for Marketing Professionals (SMPS).
His volunteer leadership activities include: International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Ambassador, Connecticut Green Building Council Board of Directors and Connecticut SMPS Membership Committee Co-Chair. In 2014, he was appointed to the Town of Simsbury’s Economic Development Task Force.
Cobleigh authored and presented on Innovative Property Assessed Resilient Buildings Finance in Connecticut at the 2014 Association for State Floodplain Managers national conference in Seattle. He is ICSC’s Planning Committee Co-Chair for the 2014 New England Idea Exchange Program.
