Holliston, MA – Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) has completed the electrical installation work at the new IGUS Warehouse and Manufacturing Facility in East Providence, RI.
The 145,000-sf light assembly / storage warehouse for the Germany-based organization was erected in close proximity to the company’s North American headquarters, also located in East Providence. The company is responsible for manufacturing various plastic components, including cable carriers, continuous-flex cables, plain, spherical and linear bearings, guides, and slide tables, with locations in 27 countries around the world.
Griffin Electric was responsible for the installation of a 1600A, 480/277V service within the facility, as well as generator backup for mechanical loads. Systems for fire alarm and security were also installed by the team, in addition to a state-of-the-art tel/data system for interconnectivity to the organization’s corporate headquarters, located in Cologne, Germany.
Overseen by Owner’s Project Manager, Viaduct Advisors, LLC, general contractor, D.F. Pray, Inc., of Seekonk, MA, managed the project’s completion, working in conjunction with architect, Jefferson Group Architects, Inc. of Pawtucket, RI, and electrical engineer, Vern G. Norman Associates, Inc., of South Weymouth, MA.
