Burlington, MA – The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) recently announced the winners of the 49th Annual PCI Design Awards competition, which recognizes excellence in precast, prestressed concrete structures.

FST’s 164th Street Garage in the Bronx, NY, was a winner in the Parking Structures: 0-999 Cars category.
This was part of a larger project in which FST was Structural Engineer of Record for the design of new
parking structures, parkland and the rehabilitation and modifications to the two other existing garages
for the new Yankee Stadium. The 164th Street garage is adjacent to the stadium, and is 5 levels high,
with 630 parking spaces. In addition, it acts as the fourth façade of the stadium, and its south wall
provides blast protection for Yankee Stadium in the event of an explosive device detonation inside the
garage.
