Burlington, MA – Fay, Spofford & Thorndike (FST) has received Notice to Proceed from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for the state and federal environmental permitting and preliminary design for improvements to the I-93/I-95 Interchange, the state’s highest volume interchange, in the Towns of Woburn, Reading and Stoneham.
The scope of work includes completing the Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report and preliminary design for the interchange upgrades, as well as widening I-95 northbound for approximately three miles. FST’s work on this phase of the project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017.
