Floyd Breaks Ground with Benchmark – Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects

Bedford NH – C.E. Floyd Company and Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects are partnering with Benchmark Senior Living on the 17th project as a team.
The new community will include 64 assisted living units, 20 memory care units, a commercial kitchen with a dining common and a dementia garden.
Careful attention will be paid to minimizing impact on the site, energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Existing site conditions required extensive ledge removal and retaining wall construction along the north elevation. The building will be a steel-framed structure to meet the institutional use requirements but is designed to reflect the historic local architectural aesthetic.
The team is working to deliver one of the first new assisted living facilities to achieve LEED certification under the LEED for homes standard.
