While BERDO has been in place in Boston since 2013\, this amendment will require large existing buildings to move from energy reporting and disclosure\, to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. BERDO 2.0 targets only 4% of buildings across the City of Boston\, but will address over 60% of citywide emissions\, and will be an essential component of achieving the City’s net zero goals \nWhat will this shift towards carbon neutrality mean for day-to-day design and construction? What are the challenges and opportunities for deep retrofits\, particularly for historic buildings? What steps can the design and construction industry take to meet current expectations and prepare for the standards and targets of the future? \nOn July 27\, please join the COTE and The BEC at The Boston Society of Architects to hear Dr. John Straube speaking on low-carbon design and retrofits for Boston’s larger buildings. SUMMARY:ABC Mass: Expanding the Workforce Pipeline and Support Available to ABC Members
DESCRIPTION:All ABC members are encouraged to join us for this special meeting with new Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Secretary Lauren Jones.  Appointed earlier this year by Governor Maura Healey\, Sec. Jones is the driving force behind the state’s workforce development efforts to expand and diversify the labor pool for Massachusetts\, including in construction.  Secretary Jones will outline the state’s plans and direct support available to ABC member employers through workforce training grants.  Secretary Jones is a dynamic leader with two decades of work in key public and private sector roles\,  most recently as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable.  ABC leadership recently met with Secretary Jones and discussed our efforts to bring more people into the construction trades\, and how restrictive apprentice to journey person ratios limit hiring at this critical time.  Please join is at this meeting to meet and hear from Secretary Jones and show your support for expanding the construction employment pipeline.

The yardage from the back tees is 6632 and par is 72 for men and 73 for ladies. The championship golf course has received numerous accolades\, both nationally and within Massachusetts.
