Burlington, MA – Erland Construction has been awarded construction of the new 13,850sf library and science center at the Fenn School in Concord. Teaming with Imai Keller Moore Architects of Watertown and Zaurie Zimmerman Associates of Lexington, Erland will complete this project before the start of the 2013-2014 school year.
The existing Robb Hall will taken down and a new two-story library and science center will be built in the same footprint. The library will occupy the entire first floor; the second floor will feature four science laboratories and support spaces.
The new structure will be tied into Thompson Hall and the school house – acting as a connector for the two existing buildings.
Erland will also perform life safety upgrades to the school house and exterior site improvements.
President Steve McDonald noted that the company has recently completed the meeting and performance hall at the Fenn School.
