Newton, MA – Diversified Project Management, Inc. (DPM) recently announced that Joy Shapiro, Senior Business Development Manager, has been honored by the Boston Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) with the President’s Award. IFMA, the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers, recognized Joy at its 8th Annual Awards of Excellence Gala. Each year, the President has the privilege of awarding the President’s Award to someone within the chapter that has gone above and beyond the call of duty as a member, volunteer and industry colleague.
Since 2005, Joy has been serving as co-chair of the IFMA Boston Membership Committee, helping to make the Chapter the second largest in the world. She has also served on the IFMA Golf Committee since 2003 and has volunteered at the annual tournament for the past nine years. In addition, Joy has chaired and organized the Boston Chapter’s events at IFMA World Workplace since 2006 and spends countless hours assisting with the coordination of numerous other IFMA events.
