Newton, Mass – Diversified Project Management, Inc. (DPM) recently announced that it has completed its project management services for the relocation of Communispace, Inc. into a newly-renovated space at the Atlantic Wharf Building in Boston.

Communispace relocated its Headquarters to 290 Congress Street in Downtown Boston. The new office consists of over 82,000 square-feet of space across two floors in the Waterfront Building which is owned by Boston Properties.

With a focus on capturing the diverse elements of Communispace’s culture, the space was designed to reflect the successful, talented and playful environment that is representative of the organization and features open, collaborative workstations, an articulating stair, conference and training rooms and its signature “Fenway Park West,” a custom gathering space emulating the beloved home of the Boston Red Sox.

DPM provided Communispace with comprehensive project management oversight, beginning with support throughout the site selection process to ensure that the new facility would meet its growth and production needs, while exemplifying its collaborative and dynamic business model. DPM oversaw the engagement of the design, construction & specialty consultant teams, the evaluation of cost estimates and review of all programming, design & construction documents, the coordination of the FF&E selection & installation process as well as move management services.

DPM Project Executive Pat Forbes, along with Senior Project Manager, Rhonda Thomas and Assistant Project Manager, Anthony Monteiro coordinated all activities of the project team to ensure a seamless transition into the new Headquarters. SGA led the design effort in creating Communispace’s high performance space and the project team was rounded out by Structure Tone Inc., Construction Managers; AHA Engineers; OENE, A/V consultants; AFD, Furniture Dealer; Poyant, signage and Spry Moving. Brokerage services were provided by Michael Brown and Ted Lyon of Cassidy Turley FHO.

“I could not have managed this project without the expertise and dedication of the Diversified team,” said Gary Arena, Communispace’s CFO. “We are so pleased to be able to realize all that we imagined when we decided to relocate from Watertown to Boston.”

“It has been a privilege to work with Communispace once again, helping them to develop an environment that complements the creative energy and talents of the staff,” said Bob Keeley, President of Diversified Project Management, “Their sustained growth is a strong testament not only to their successful business platform but also to the strong team culture they have created.”

DPM has previously managed similar projects for a number of area firms, including Acme Packet, NATIXIS, Red Hat & Robeco Investment Management.
