Rye, New Hampshire – DiGiorgio Associates Inc. (DAI) partnered with Sanctuary Care to develop a one-story memory care living facility in Rye known as Sanctuary Care at Rye. Key elements of the facility are a distinctive entrance and lobby, sitting area, dining, library and activities area.
The goal of this new residence is to care for those with memory loss in a home-like environment. The single story structure will have two residential wings attached to two activity cores. The cores will house a kitchen, dining area, activity space, and administrative offices. The residential living space will consist of 56 spacious units, one third of which will be semi-private spaces. In the semi-private suites, the residents will share the bathroom space.
Along with the development of the residential spaces within the wings, this structure will also consist of 8,900sf of community courtyard space. The total scope of the project is 36,600sf
with an estimated construction cost of $7 million.
Construction began in the Fall of 2012 and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2013.
