Boston, MA – CoreNet New England has awarded the new Americas headquarters offices of the French 3D software pioneer Dassault Systèmes (DS) the Best New Workplace 2012 Award of Excellence. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and constructed by Columbia Construction, the offices are located at 175 Wyman Street in Waltham in the heart of the Route 128 tech corridor. The new 212,000-square-foot DS campus represents the strategic consolidation of the company’s eight Massachusetts software brands, bringing 800 employees from separate offices — with a capacity for 900 — into one shared culture. The design goal was to empower everyone — researchers, designers, customers — to seamlessly innovate, share, and experience in 3D.
Elkus Manfredi created an open, collaborative environment that nourishes the energy of each DS software brand while bringing them into closer creative connectivity. In addition, the new headquarters is designed to be a prototype of sustainability not only for DS facilities and employees across the globe, but also for DS customers as they work with the company to reduce the carbon footprint of their products. LEED Gold certification for Commercial Interiors is currently pending.
The Best New Workplace Award of Excellence will be celebrated on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at a gala sponsored by CoreNet Global. The event will be held at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel in South Boston.
