Worcester, Mass – Cutler Associates, a design-build construction management firm based in Worcester, MA, has recently been awarded contracts for three new projects totaling $19 million.
Spectrum Health, a national leader in substance abuse and mental health treatment, selected Cutler to oversee construction management of a new local residential treatment facility. The project involves construction of a new 35,000 square foot facility, associated site work, landscaping and parking. The facility will function as new quarters for Spectrum’s expanded 100-bed residential substance abuse treatment program. The location is on the grounds of their current residential treatment program in Westborough, MA, which will remain active throughout construction. The project architect is DiMella Shaffer.
Matouk Textile Works in Fall River, MA, a family-owned luxury linen manufacturer since 1929, recently chose Cutler as the design-builder for its planned facilities improvements. Matouk is expanding operations with the addition of a new 40,000 square foot manufacturing plant and undertaking renovations to their existing 47,000 square-foot plant. Cutler Design is currently wrapping up the design-planning stage with the owner, and site work has begun.
And most recently AbbVie, a global research-based biopharmaceutical company based in Chicago, hired Cutler to manage a 13,000 square foot manufacturing support expansion at their Worcester, MA bioresearch center. Architectural Resources Cambridge designed the addition. Site work is already underway.
