Boylston, MA-CTA Construction, who recently completed construction of the new 126,000 square foot Tahanto Regional Middle School/High School is providing financial assistance to ship all of the unused furniture and equipment, collected from the soon-to-be-demolished existing 50-year old school, to Saint George’s College in Kingston, Jamaica.
Saint George’s College, a newly constructed school for grades 1- 12, is in need of desks, chairs, shelving and many other items for their new facility. CTA Principal, Patrick Tompkins stated, “we are proud to be a part of this effort, to support a school in need, and to find a good home for furniture and equipment that might otherwise have been thrown away.” Four 40 foot ocean shipping containers will be loaded with hundreds of items. CTA commends PMA Construction Services, the Owner’s Project Manager and IRN (Institution Recycling Network), in their effort to support a school in need.
