Middletown, RI – Construction is continuing on a new Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel on located at 384 West Main Road in Middletown, Rhode Island. Pro Con Inc. of Manchester is the architect and construction manager for the $8.2M design/build hotel project, which is being built for Mile One, LLC.
“The windows and doors are installed, the roof is complete, and the building is weather tight,” stated the project superintendent for Pro Con Inc. “We have started the interior drywall on the hotel’s fourth floor and we expect to begin the building’s exterior finishes by the first week in February.”
Pro Con Inc. began site work on the project in May 2012 and has scheduled a May 2013 completion date.
Homewood Suites by Hilton is an all-suite residential-style hotel targeting travelers who are on the road for a few days or more. Homewood Suites has been designed to provide guests with all the comforts and convenience of home, for the price of a traditional hotel room. The 4-story, 72,500-sf hotel will have 92 hotel rooms, with parking for 77 vehicles. The hotel will offer a variety of spacious studio and one bedroom suites, with fully equipped kitchens, and for quests requiring larger accommodations, the hotel will offer a three bedroom – 2 baths suite.
The hotel will provide an elegant, yet comfortable home away from home atmosphere for the guests. The lodge area will feature the reception desk, snack shop, guest buffet, comfortable seating and a conference room. The lodge will also offer a fitness room, an indoor pool, an outdoor sports court, a barbecue grill & patio area, a putting green and a guest laundry facility.
