CBT Architects Dedicate Entire Week to Green Education, Speakers & Exhibitors

Boston, MA – CBT Architects is expanding the firm’s 6th Annual Green Day initiative into a week-long education and exhibition to raise awareness on sustainable design practices among clients,
staff and the Greater Boston building community. Throughout the week of March 11th, CBT is presenting daily keynote speakers and hosting a green vendor trade show within the firm’s Canal Street offices.

Among the scheduled events is CBT’s first Green Mashup. The Mashup, named for its fast-paced format packing a variety of ideas together for an audience, will feature 20 CBT presenters who will speak for
three minutes each.

“The format allows passionate professionals the opportunity to convey a project’s big sustainable idea quickly and succinctly,” said CBT Principal Alfred Wojciechowski, AIA, LEED AP. “Similar to a Pecha
Kucha presentation, the Mashup will be entertaining, educational and moving at a rapid pace.”

On Friday morning, the official CBT Green Day, the company will host a green manufacturer and vendor show inside the firm’s offices to examine green building design and the latest environmentally sustainable
products and services. “CBT is dedicated to educating employees to practice responsively to ensure a better quality of life for everyone, now and for future generations to come,” said Ken Lewandowski, AIA,
LEED AP, chair of CBT’s Sustainable Design Committee. “To share this knowledge, we open the Green Vendor Show to our clients and colleagues from the design and construction industry,”

The week’s green theme will be highlighted by daily keynoters speaking on sustainable design trends and best practices. Speakers include:
• Bryan Koop, Sr. VP and Regional Manager, Boston Properties
• John Dalzell, Senior Architect; Boston Redevelopment Authority
• Jim Newman, Massachusetts Chapter US Green Building Council (USGBC)
• Heather Yanusas, LEED AP, CBT Architects
