CBC Awarded Scholarships to Future Members of the A/E/C Industry

Hartford, Conn – The Connecticut Building Congress held the 17th Annual Project Team Awards banquet Tuesday, June 18th at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford. In addition to recognizing the year’s best project teams, the Connecticut Building Congress Scholarship Fund awarded four scholarships to graduating high school seniors.

Hartford, Conn – The Connecticut Building Congress held the 17th Annual Project Team Awards banquet Tuesday, June 18th at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford. In addition to recognizing the year’s best project teams, the Connecticut Building Congress Scholarship Fund awarded four scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The accomplished and focused high school seniors are residents of Connecticut and will study an A/E/C related field in college in the fall.

For the first time, two scholarship recipients were chosen from the same school, Bethel High School in Bethel, CT.

The CBC Scholarship Fund President, Tom DiBlasi (DiBlasi Associates) and the Fund’s Vice President, John Hawley (Gilbane Building Company) presented the checks.

College: Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Major: Architectural Engineering

 

Thomas D’Orvilliers

High School: Vinal Technical High School, Middletown

College: Central Connecticut State University

Major: Construction Management

 

Brooke Ferraro

High School: Bethel High School, Bethel

College: University of North Carolina Charlotte

Major: Architecture

 

Jordan Kawulicz

High School: Bethel High School, Bethel

College: Virginia Tech

Major: Civil Engineering
